A New Car?

Friday night my brother’s girlfriend threw him a suprise 21st birthday party. There were about 30 people there, and it was a pretty good time. My brother was really trashed. I didn’t really know anybody there, but hung out with Jen’s sisters and her friend Deb, which was cool. It was kind of wierd, because earlier in the day I subbed for a class that Jen’s youngest sister was in, then we hung out and I was drinking beers. Strange.
Saturday, I finally got to sleep in. I had to run some errands and then met up with Jon for coffee. He just bought a new (to him) car. That got me to thinking, why don’t I get a new car? I had been kicking the idea around for a couple weeks now, ever since I last took my car in for repairs. They told me next time I came in, I needed all sorts of work that would cost me upwards of $700. I checked the Kelly Blue Book value, and my car is only worth $1300 or so. There comes a point in every cars life where it’s not worth it anymore to keep fixing it. I think my car is just about there.
So today, I went with my dad to a couple dealerships to look at new cars. I’ve been driving that tiny Saturn for so long, I decided I want a big truck. I’m looking at either the Nissan Frontier or the Toyota Tundra. I test drove both, and they’re both awesome. I’m still probably a month away from buying one. I need to save some money for a down payment, but I really think I’m going to do this. So I spent most of the afternoon researching trucks and car loans. I’m not sure how I’m going to make car payments if I’m student teaching next year, but I’ll cross that bridge when I come to it. In the mean time, I’m going to try and work as much as possible, and save every penny I can. I’m off to bed now, dreaming about driving a new truck.

You deserve a new car corney, you’ve been stuck in that twin cam fag-mobile long enough. As long as you don’t get an F-150, any truck would be cool. I suggest the Frontier.
